Introduction:

Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) world cup, one of the oldest and most popular event in the world. On 13th of July 1930, Uruguay hosted the first ever FIFA world cup with the participation of 13 nations. The first ever champion was Uruguay as they beat Argentina by 4-2 in the finals. From that day the tournament achieved tremendous success. The 20th edition of the event is around the corner with 32 nations participating from around the world.


Host:

All time champion Brazil will be hosting the event. Brazil has been champion in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002. It is the only team that participated in all the FIFA world cup events and won the cup in four different continents. This is the second time Brazil is hosting a world cup after 1950.

Groups:

Teams are arranged into eight groups having four teams each. Brazil will be representing ‘Group A’ with Croatia, Mexico and Cameroon. Current champion ‘Spain’ resides in ‘Group B’ with Netherland, Chile and Australia. ‘Group C’ having potential teams including Greece, Colombia, Cote d’Ivoire and Japan. ‘Group D’ contains some champion teams, a threat for Spain. These are Italy with four titles on its name, Uruguay who have lifted the trophy twice with Costa Rica and England. ‘Group E’ is having France, the champion for 1998 FIFA world cup with Switzerland, Ecuador and Honduras. The sixth group (F) includes my favorite Argentina with two titles on its name followed by Iran, Bosnia and Nigeria. ‘Group G’ have teams like Germany and Portugal which are considered as big teams with Ghana and USA as well in the group. The final group (H) have Russia, Algeria, Belgium and Korea Republic respectively.
The FIFA world cup is not always about your country, 1/4th of the world covers all the matches of the tournament. What’s more exciting are the star players, key strategies and passion which can bring ultimate success to any team. 1: Laila Majnu


Qays ibn al-Mulawwah was a young boy when he fell deeply in love with Layla Al-Aamiriya. It is said that Laila and Majnu were in affectionate love with each other, but Laila’s parents were not in support of this relationship. Because of this reason both ran away and settled in Binjor (India). They died, after a short time but their love remains alive even today. The Tomb of their love still exists in a small village called Binjor, which is located in Rajasthan near Sri Ganganagar, two kilometers from the border of Pakistan.

Flightless ostrich is the largest bird in the world. It can run at the speed of 70 km / h (43mph), making it the fastest land runner amoung any bird. Ostriches usually eat plants, roots and seeds, but also eat insects, lizards, or other creatures available in their envoirnment sometimes harsh habits.
